Samson March builds his own smart watch

ECE alumnus Samson March recently finished building his own smart watch from scratch as a do-it-yourself project. Word spread—eventually going viral—and Samson and his watch were featured in articles on the tech blogs Engadget and The Verge, and he ended up getting job offers from Google, Oculus, Uber, and SpaceX. Samson designed and built every aspect of the watch, from creating the housing to 3D printing it and writing every line of code for it. He also made the project open source, so anyone else can access the files and make his own watch. Samson received his BS in electrical engineering in 2014.
