Dr. Ahmed Louri and his Ph.D. student Hao Zheng has published a journal article titled: “EZ-Pass: An Energy & Performance-Efficient Power-gating Router Architecture for Scalable NoCs,” in the highly referred IEEE Computer Architecture Letters, Digital Object Identifier: 10.1109/LCA.2017.2783918.  The work shows an innovative way of speeding up communications on future parallel computing chips while consuming very little energy. This work is funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation and the David and Marilynn Karlgaard Endowment.
