Volker Sorger, Associate Professor at the GW School of Engineering and Applied Science and Director of the Devices & Intelligent Systems Laboratory at GW, was recently interviewed on Fox news about the Semiconductor chip bill. The bill passed hurdles in the Senate, and the final vote took place at the end of July.
Professor Sorger had this to say about the bill, "Semiconductors are in everything we touch. This is a major bill impacting the next 10-15 years of engineering excitement in the nation."
This bill will support the process of manufacturing semiconductors in the United States.
