Volker J. Sorger named a 'Fellow' rank of 3 internationally-known professional societies

Volker J. Sorger, Professor of Electrical & Computer Engineering and Director of the Institute on Photonics & AI, was recently named a 'Fellow' rank of 3 internationally-known professional societies, namely, of the Optical Society (Optica, former OSA), Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE), and International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM). The 'Fellow' rank within these organizations is the highest level of achievement for members and often follows a strict quota.
