Prof. Suresh Subramaniam receives NSF grant

Suresh Subramaniam, Professor of Electrical & Computer Engineering and Vice Provost for Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs, has received a 3-year NSF grant titled "JUNO3: End-to-end network slicing and orchestration in future programmable converged wireless-optical networks."

Prof. Subramaniam had this to say: “I'm really excited to be funded by the NSF JUNO program again. The JUNO program brings together researchers from the US and Japan to solve some challenging problems in networking, and I've had the pleasure of building excellent relationships with colleagues in Japan over the last decade. This particular project is even more exciting as it addresses challenges at the intersection of two dominant communications technologies - optical and wireless.”

Prof. Subramaniam is the lead NSF PI. This is the third Japan-US Networking Opportunity (JUNO) program and Prof. Subramaniam has received funding from each of the three programs.
